Education

  • B. Eng. National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico, 2016.
  • B. Sc. National Autonomous Universityof Mexico, Mexico, 2018

Professional Experience

  • Masters Degree, National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico, 2018-2020
  • Visiting student, The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. June 1 – August 30, 2019.

Arturo Sauza de la Vega was born in the US, but raised in Mexico, where he earned an M. Sc. degree specializing in quantum chemical topology (QCT) under the supervision of Prof. Tomás Rocha-Rinza at UNAM, Mexico. During his master’s studies, He completed a research stay at The University of Manchester with Prof. Paul L.A. Popelier for the analysis of polymorphism in solids.
As a Ph.D. student, his research interests are the electronic structure theory and the application of multireference methods for the characterization of molecular spin qubits. He is also interested in the study of non-covalent interactions with wavefunction analysis, especially with QCT. In his spare time, he enjoys walking or riding his bike next to the lake Michigan.
