Professional Experience
Dr. Ankit Mathanker is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Gagliardi Group at the University of Chicago and is co-advised by Dr. Rajeev Assary at Argonne National Laboratory.
Dr. Mathanker earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan in 2026, where he was supervised by Prof. Bryan Goldsmith. His doctoral research focused on “Molecular-Level Insights into Organic Adsorption and Reactivity at Electrode-Electrolyte Interfaces.” During his time at Michigan, he also interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Joel Varley and Prof. Nitish Govindarajan.
