Gagliardi Group Enjoys Summer Outing on the Chicago River and Lake

The Gagliardi Group recently came together for a summer outing aboard the River & Lake Sightseeing Boat Tour, operated by First Lady Chicago. The group had a wonderful time enjoying the city from a different perspective while taking in Chicago’s iconic architecture, skyline, and waterfront.

The outing provided a fun and relaxed opportunity for members of the Gagliardi Group to connect outside of the lab, enjoy time together, and celebrate the strong sense of community within the group. From the Chicago River to Lake Michigan, the scenic tour offered a memorable backdrop for conversation, camaraderie, and a well-deserved summer break.

It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections, make lasting memories, and enjoy all that Chicago has to offer together.

Gagliardi Group Retreat 2025: Innovation Meets Adventure at Timber Ridge Lodge

This year, the Gagliardi Group gathered at Timber Ridge Lodge in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, for a retreat bursting with energy, fresh ideas, and nonstop fun. We dove into big-picture brainstorming, sparked new collaborations, exchanged bold ideas, and leveled up with hands-on Machine Learning training that pushed our skills to the next level.

And when it was time to recharge? We went all in—painting masterpieces, testing our aim in archery, hiking scenic trails, splashing into the pool, and unwinding at the spa.

From laughter and creativity to breakthroughs and bold plans, this retreat was the ultimate mix of innovation and play. We left inspired, connected, and more excited than ever for the year ahead!

The Gagliardi Group gathered in high spirits for a memorable holiday dinner, embracing the warmth and camaraderie that define this special time of year.  The celebration was filled with laughter, delicious food, and heartfelt conversations, as colleagues came together to reflect on the year’s accomplishments and look ahead to the exciting opportunities of the future.  It was a night to strengthen bonds, share gratitude, and revel in the joy of the season.

Gagliardi Group Retreat 2024: Fun-Filled Collaboration and Connection at Starved Rock State Park

The Gagliardi Group held its annual retreat at Starved Rock State Park, emphasizing collaboration and innovation. Activities included brainstorming future research directions, bridging subgroups to share skills in Sustainable Energy and Catalysis, and finalizing work for publication. The retreat also offered hiking opportunities and fostered team bonding, strengthening the sense of community among members. It was a fantastic adventure filled with creativity, laughter, and memorable moments that left everyone excited for the year ahead.

The Gagliardi Group recently met up at Lake Michigan to enjoy a summer afternoon.  They enjoyed chatting, strengthening friendships, and eating great food.  It was a refreshing afternoon full of laughter and memorable moments together.

The Gagliardi Research Group enjoy an evening of camaraderie and pin-crashing fun as they slipped on their bowling shoes in an unforgettable outing of friendly competition! Strikes, spares, and the occasional gutter ball brought cheers and laughter echoing through the bowling alley as friendships strengthened and new bonds formed. A successful team not only thrives on shared academic pursuits but also on shared experiences of joy and amusement.
